Modern PCs are more than capable of performing photographic and video editing tasks that 10 years ago would have been impossible for other than specialist companies with large budgets.
However the software required to perform these tasks, now as then, is expensive and requires a steep learning curve that can only be justified if this software is to be used on a regular basis.
Below we illustrate two typical photo enhancements - enlarging a small image with minimum quality loss, and fixing an imperfection introduced at the moment a photo was taken.
The third example shows how it is even possible to fix the jerkiness in digitised cine film caused by damaged sprocket holes. Very few that commercially digitise cine film can offer this service!
